In vielen Jahren der Fotografie hat sich der Himmel als mein Hauptmotiv herauskristallisiert. Dabei spielen nicht nur irdische Wolken eine Rolle, sondern auch interstellare Nebel und gefiederte wie auch technisierte Himmelsbewohner. Manchmal schummelt sich aber auch was Abstraktes dazu… Over many years of photography, the sky has become my main subject. It is not only earthly clouds that play a role, but also interstellar nebulae and feathered as well as engineered dwellers of the sky. Now and then something abstract sneaks in too…

Der Himmel lässt mich auch beruflich nicht los: Ich beschäftige mich in der Atmosphärenphysik vor allem mit den hohen, zarten Eiswolken und der Frage, in welchen Gebieten sie entstehen können. The sky won't let go of me at work either: in atmospheric physics I focus above all on the high, delicate ice clouds and the question of the regions in which they can form.
